Traps hands are not playable in Limit Texas Holdem. But what is absurd is, the variety is full of trap hands. Thus, it is really challenging to avoid the said hands in such variety.

But what are trap hands? Just for your information, trap hands are hands that have great tendency of becoming mediocre or second-best hands. They often do not win. Basically, they include KT, KJ, KQ, QT, QJ, AT, and AJ.

It is not advisable to play trap hands. However, few situations demand that they must be played. Just say, position is late position and table is in favorable condition, when this happens, trap hands must be played. From the said position and when table is in such condition, they can become raising hands. But of course, they must be played with caution. There is still risk involved despite of them becoming raising hands.

It is all up to you whether or not you will decide to play trap hands. For situation like you are in a late position and table is in favorable condition, you can play trap hands. They can become raising hands, somehow they can pull in winning chances. However, they must be played with caution.

If you feel you can’t play trap hands accordingly, it is best not to play them, to just avoid them. Most especially in Limit Texas Holdem, they are believed to be hands that are not playable. Risk involved can be and can’t be worth taking and so you must be careful with your decision whether or not you will play them.
