There can be two sides of the pot in Seven-Card Stud Hi Lo, the high side for the winner who has the best Seven-Card Stud Hi Lo high hand and the low side for the winner who has the best Seven-Card Stud Hi Lo low hand. Well, it is challenging to play for either of the two sides of the pot. But the more challenging perhaps for many is to play for the low side of the pot. Yes, what’s only needed is to have the best Seven-Card Stud Hi Lo low hand. However, the hand should only be made up of five different cards ranked Eight or below.

Indeed, it seems complicated and tough to qualify for the low side of the pot, thus it may be just a good choice to play for the high side of the pot instead. Full house which is consists of any three of a kind with pair is considered as also a must-have hand by so many players as it can be really affective too. Flush which is consists of any five cards in same suit but not in sequence is a powerful hand and therefore really worth chasing. And lastly, straight which is consists of any five cards in a row but not in same suit is truly a winning hand.

For the most part, there is almost no restriction with playing for the high side of the pot. There are actually so many hands to form!
