A lot of poker players can’t avoid not staying in a hand too long. They can’t avoid not remaining in a hand for long time. And typically, they can’t avoid being in a hand for long period because of the money they have in the pot.

Well, what players don’t realize is that they will later be in big trouble if they stay in a hand too long. They should not remain in a hand for long time. Although they already have huge amount of money in the pot, still they should not stay in a hand for long period. Not because they have already placed a big amount of money into the pot, they actually need to stay in a hand for as long as possible.

There might be times when pot odds will induce poker players to continue playing a poker hand. If for pot odds they are staying in a hand for too long, then maybe it is acceptable. However, if only for the amount of money they placed into the pot that they remain in a hand, then it is not acceptable. It is not right to stay in hand, most especially for too long, just because of the amount of money they already have in the pot. If they are already unable to improve their hand, then they should fold and not consider even their money in the pot. It is not their money anymore, they have already placed it into the pot and so they need to let go of it.

Poker players should not stay in a hand too long most especially if only for the money they already placed into the pot. They will eventually just be in big trouble if they remain in a hand too long for the money they’ve already given away.
