Omaha is one of the 120 varieties of the game Poker. And for the record, it must have been the next most popular variety of the game after Texas Holdem. Well, it is a great variety and it is worth playing even just on mobile phone.

Omaha, when in terms of rules, is almost like Texas Holdem. It requires players to form best possible five-card hand out of the hole cards and community cards or the board cards. However, the hole cards if summed up will be four and not two just like in the most popular variety of the game Poker. And two from these cards must be used no matter what happens.

Omaha also comes in varieties. At this point, the most popular are the Omaha High, High-Low Split Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha. With Omaha, there is truly no limitation when it comes to having variation of games.

Omaha High is the variety which doesn’t acknowledge lowest-ranking hand and only the highest-ranking hand. High-Low Split Omaha is the variety which can recognize two winners, one for the best low hand and one for the best high hand. But it requires the winner for the best low hand to only have cards ranked 8 or below without pairs. And Pot Limit Omaha is the variety that acknowledges that the present pot value is the maximum raise. It can be played both high and high low which then makes it likable.

Of course, you have freedom to choose what variety you’re going to play. You just have to weigh things, you have to know what variety you think you will really enjoy playing. High-Low Split Omaha seems to be worth playing, you can win for the best low hand or else for the best high hand. But still, it is all up to if you will go for it.
