Being Acquainted With Some Cheating Schemes of Online Players

Online Poker Cheating

Even online players have their own cheating schemes that are naturally effective online. These schemes are not far different from the ones of the live players. Still, these schemes aim to manipulate results of the event or game.

Some cheating schemes of online players include:

Collusion

Collusion is the most common cheating scheme of online players. It is actually about a few players agreeing to play against each other but then later ending up sharing information with each other so to manipulate the results of the event or game. It is indeed about getting an unfair advantage. And with it just comes the idea of connivance.

Misrepresentation of a Hand

Misrepresentation of a hand may be considered as the opposite of collusion, for it is actually not a common cheating scheme of online players. Unlike collusion, it can be sometimes ineffective because of some complications it may bring in. It is indeed about purposely calling a wrong hand at showdown to manipulate the results of the event or game.

Angling

Angling may be considered just in between, it is common but it is not so common as a cheating scheme of online players. It is actually about intentionally acting out of turn. It can be about betting, checking or folding at the wrong time so to manipulate results of the event or game.

Unfortunately, there are some poker rooms that seem to tolerate online players to carry out such cheating schemes as they play. They don’t even try to implement some simple rules to stop such players from accomplishing evil plans just to win and take home some money. But on the good side, there are also some poker rooms that try to do the other thing, not to tolerate such players through the help of some really good anti-cheating softwares. They are indeed the poker rooms to look up to, and just the poker rooms where players should play at.
